Principles of Finance

Lecture

The lecture starts on Monday, 18.04.2016.

It will introduce the basic principles of asset pricing and the valuation of contingent claims in both complete and incomplete market models.

The course accounts for 6 ECTS based on a 120min written exam.

 

Tutorial

  • Thursdays, 12:00-14:00, HS 3042, KG III
  • The tutorial begins in the second week on Thursday, 28.04.2016.

Additional Turorials

The NBS-Tutorial will take place every week on

       Wednesday, 12:00-14:00,  in HS 1034, KG I

Another General Tutorial will be offered weekly on

       Wednesday, 14:00-16:00, in HS 1139, KG I

Both tutorials will start in the third week of the summer term (on May 4th, 2016). The responsible tutor for both tutorials is Ruslan Savin.

 

Exam

The final exam is scheduled for July 27th, 2016, from 02 - 04pm in HS 2004, KG II.

The retake exam takes place on January 10th, 2017, from 12 - 02pm in HS 2121, KG II.

The lecture is open for M.Sc. Economics, B.Sc. and M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. VWL and diploma students in their advanced study period.

In M.Sc. Economics, the course can be credited in the profile "Finance".

In M.Sc. Mathematics, the course can be credited for the special profile "Finanzmathematik" or as an elective.

In B.Sc. Mathematics, the course can be credited as an elective.

In M.Sc. VWL, the course can be credited for

  • VWL-Theorie (examination regulations from 2011)
  • Accounting, Finance, and Taxation (new examination regulations, valid from winter term 2014/2015)

For VWL Diplom, the course can be credited in "Finanzmärkte und -management" or "Finanz- und Rechnungswesen".
