Principles of Finance

The retake exam summer term 2017 takes place on March 13th, 2018, at 1-3pm, in the Audimax.

Lecture

The lecture starts on Monday, 24.04.2017.

It will introduce the basic principles of asset pricing and the valuation of contingent claims in both complete and incomplete market models.

The course accounts for 6 ECTS based on a 120min written exam.

 

Tutorial

  • Thursdays, 04:00 - 06:00pm, room 3219 KGIII

  • The tutorial begins in the second week on Thursday, 02.05.2017.

Additional Turorials

The NBS-Tutorial will take place every week on

Two General Tutorials will be offered weekly on

Wednesdays, 12:00 - 14:00,  in HS 1221, KG I

Fridays, 08:00 - 10:00am, in HS 1098, KG I

Both General Tutorials will start in the third week of the summer term (on May 10th resp. 12th, 2017). The responsible tutor for both tutorials are Julian Sester and Victor Feunou.

 

Exam

The date for the final will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 - 2-4pm, room 2006. For details on the registration and the registration period for the first exam, please also look at the websites of the examination offices of Economics and Mathematics for further information!

The lecture is open for M.Sc. Economics, B.Sc. and M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. VWL and diploma students in their advanced study period.

In M.Sc. Economics, the course can be credited in the profile "Finance".

In M.Sc. Mathematics, the course can be credited for the special profile "Finanzmathematik" or as an elective.

In B.Sc. Mathematics, the course can be credited as an elective.

In M.Sc. VWL, the course can be credited for

  • VWL-Theorie (examination regulations from 2011)

  • Accounting, Finance, and Taxation (new examination regulations, valid from winter term 2014/2015)

For VWL Diplom, the course can be credited in "Finanzmärkte und -management" or "Finanz- und Rechnungswesen".
