MDB Challenge Fund

The University of Freiburg received a grant from the MDB Challenge Fund to develop a new methodology for assessing name concentration risk in the portfolios of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), which typically consist of a small number of borrowers. In this way, the project, led by Professor Eva Lütkebohmert-Holtz, may lead to a significant reduction of capital requirements and thus increase the lending capacity for MDBs.
